The Timberwolves defeated the Lakers, 118-113. Naz Reid led the way for the Timberwolves with 22 points and 13 rebounds, while DAngelo Russell (15 points, eight assists) and Luka Garza (15 points) combined for 30 points in the victory. LeBron James tallied a game-high 25 points, along with 11 rebounds for the Lakers in the losing effort. The Timberwolves improve to 4-0 in the NBA Preseason, while the Lakers fall to 1-4.
