It boggles JaVale's mind to think that his mother, Pamela McGee, and her twin sister Paula, both former USC stars, worked so hard at the sport growing up in Michigan at a time when it promised no future for them (women's basketball was not NCAA-sponsored until 1981 and there was no WNBA).
